Policies

This page summarizes how Jurisavant handles data, privacy, and AI-generated content. These Policies work together with our Terms of Use. If there is any conflict, the Terms of Use control.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Platform. This may include:

  • Account information (such as name, email, and basic profile data).
  • Billing and subscription details processed through our payment provider.
  • Technical data (such as IP address, device information, and usage logs).
  • Content you choose to submit to the Platform (such as prompts, text, and uploaded material).

2. Data Retention

We do not retain user content indefinitely.

User input, prompts, and related activity may be retained for no more than thirty (30) days for the limited purposes of:

  • Monitoring and investigating abuse, misuse, or security issues.
  • Maintaining and improving Platform performance and reliability.

After this period, such data is scheduled for deletion or anonymization, subject to any legal or compliance obligations that may require a longer retention period.

3. No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited data with trusted service providers to operate the Platform (for hosting, payments, authentication, AI processing, and similar functions), subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

4. AI-Generated Content & User Responsibilities

The Platform uses artificial intelligence and large language models to generate text and other content in response to user input. AI systems can make mistakes, omit relevant information, or produce output that requires correction or refinement.

As a user (and especially as a licensed attorney), you are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing all output for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
  • Checking all citations, authorities, and factual assertions.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and court-specific requirements.

You must not rely on any AI output as a substitute for independent legal research, analysis, or professional judgment.

5. Confidentiality & Sensitive Information

You remain responsible for client confidentiality and privilege. We strongly discourage the upload of highly sensitive information and prohibit certain categories of data.

You agree not to upload:

  • Protected Health Information (PHI) or other HIPAA-regulated data.
  • Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or other highly sensitive identifiers.
  • Unredacted documents containing full client names combined with unique identifiers or docket numbers.

6. Cookies & Technical Logs

We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and secure the Platform. We also maintain logs of technical activity (such as IP addresses and timestamps) to monitor performance and address security or abuse issues.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no system is perfectly secure. You acknowledge that you use the Platform at your own risk and agree to notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access or misuse.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Platform may rely on or link to third-party services for hosting, payments, automation, authentication, and AI processing. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which govern their handling of your information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third parties.

9. Legal Requests, Complaints & Inquiries

If you have a privacy concern, security issue, or legal complaint regarding the Platform, you agree to contact us directly first so we have an opportunity to address it.

All legal, privacy, or policy-related inquiries must:

  • Be emailed to legal@jurisavant.com, and
  • Be followed by a written notice sent via certified mail to our registered agent as listed in our business filings.

We may request additional information from you as needed to investigate and respond to any complaint or legal request.

10. Changes to These Policies

We may update these Policies from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date below. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policies.
